Based in Leeds, Headingley Bramhope CC (HBCC) are a friendly and local cricket club with two teams playing in the Wetherby League. Home matches are played amongst the beautiful surroundings of Old Lane in Bramhope, where supporters can enjoy a league game on Saturdays. With weekly training sessions and a busy social calendar, the club is always on the look out for keen club cricketers to join the squad.
With a team profile already established on pitchero.com, HBCC got in touch to arrange a series of Divi theme training sessions with the idea to design and develop their own website, which could be managed internally. A key aim of the site was to catch any new potential members searching for the club in Google whilst highlighting club sponsors, displaying fixture details, contact information, match scores and club news.
Built with Divi on WordPress, the club’s new site was created across a series of one-to-one online training sessions. From buying the domain and setting up hosting to creating the site’s architecture and design, each tailored lesson walked through every step needed to create a professional website using the Divi theme, with no steps skipped. An Instagram widget was added to display match day posts and a weather app was integrated into the footer of every page to make sure the forecast was never far away!
After the design stage was complete, a final session was dedicated to setting up free tracking tools and correctly getting the site indexed in search results, so it could be found through major search engines.

Mike effectively taught me the skills necessary to design a professional Divi website from start to finish. Sharing screens during our one-to-one training sessions was very easy and fun. Explaining each step in a clear manner, Mike shared his thorough understanding of Divi and its amazing features, enabling me to design a clean website for my cricket team. I feel confident managing the website and I’m looking forward to building on what I’ve created.
